Erasmus MC inspires me, supporting well being and a healthy next generation.
My brother, Cock Dijkshoorn, passed away three years ago on May 4th as a result of pancreatic cancer. His illness came fast and hit hard, and in a short and intense period we had to say goodbye. He was only 51 years old. His loss is something we carry with us every day.
On Friday, September 4th, 2026, Mammoet Cycles will take on a challenging cycling event in the French Alps, climbing iconic mountains such as the Col de Sarenne and Alpe d’Huez, to raise funds for vital research at Erasmus MC. Research that gives hope for better treatments.
I will be taking part in this challenge in memory of my brother. Every climb will be for him, and for everyone affected by this devastating disease. I kindly ask you to support this cause by making a donation. Together, we can help make a difference.
