Nog te gaan
Together with some colleagues from Mammoet, at the start of September I'll be cycling up Alpe d'Huez in the French Alps, one of the most famous climbs in professional cycling. This climb consists of 21 hairpin turns, over 1100m of elevation gain, and an average gradient of 8%.
It will be a tough physical challenge, but we're doing it to raise money for such a worthwhile cause as Erasmus MC, one of the Netherlands' leading medical centres, which undertakes key medical research and education, as well as patient care. This charity seeks every day to improve treatments and find new solutions for serious diseases, amongst many other invaluable impacts.
I'm taking up the challenge to because I want to make a difference for patients and their families. Each kilometer cycled, droplet of sweat and consequently, every single Euro raised for this charity will support the Foundation's work in advancing patient care through research, and in turn, gives hope to the people who are facing serious illnesses.
I sincerely hope that you are able to support me in my challenge and would be grateful for every contribution made. Hopefully we can make a difference together.
