Tackling Cancer with Targeted Radionuclide Therapy

Still to go
I'm a postdoctoral researcher in the Radiotracer Interactions Group, within the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. My work focuses on developing and optimising molecules for targeted radionuclide imaging and therapy (theranostics). Specifically, I research how we can exploit the unique 'sugar code' (proteoglycans) overexpressed on cancer cells—using them as precise targets for optimized radioactive tracers. My main focus is triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive and lethal subtype with poor prognosis and limited treatment options. I'm joining this fundraising campaign because I believe this research can change that. Every contribution brings us closer to smarter, more personalised cancer care—and to giving patients not just more time, but better time.
